1H20 results

Earnings per share (EPS) for the period came in at 6.53 cents on a fully diluted basis.

Unitholders can expect to receive their distributions on Dec 4.

Units in CMT closed 3 cents higher or 1.7% up at $1.76 on Nov 2.

Excluding the sale, the company’s earnings would have increased by $1.1 million to $1.9 million in 1H20.

On a like-for-like basis, 1H20 DPU would have been 1.97 Euro cents, representing a 3.4% decline from the DPU in 1H19.

Mainboard-listed construction and civil engineering company Tiong Seng Holdings has reported a loss of $9.2 million for the 1H20 ended June. In comparison, the company registered earnings of $2.7 million in 1H19.

For the half-year period ended June, UOB Kay Hian reported earnings of $76.0 million, a 163.2% surge from the $29.0 million posted in 1H19.

Shares in Straits Trading closed 2 cents lower, or 1.3% down, at $1.54 on August 14, prior to the announcement.

"Supply for the rest of the year is expected to remain tight even as we move into the high production season... We expect CPO price to maintain its healthy level, although there may always be periods of volatility," says chairman and CEO Franky Widjaja.

An interim dividend of 1 Singapore cent has been declared for 1H20, higher than the 0.625 Singapore cents declared the year before.
