SINGAPORE (March 3): Factory activity in Singapore expanded for the sixth straight month in February but at a slower pace due to weaker new orders and exports, a survey showed on Thursday.

The Singapore Institute of Purchasing & Materials Management's Purchasing Managers' Index (PMI) eased to 50.9 from a two-year high of 51.0 in January.

A reading below 50 suggests contraction, while one above that level points to expansion.
