SINGAPORE (June 19): AsiaPhos, a local mineral resources company focused on exploring and mining phosphate, announced on Monday its plans to undertake an internal restructuring of its subsidiaries to reorganise, streamline and expand its downstream business, which is focused on the production and sale of phosphate-based chemicals.

Both upstream and downstream businesses are currently undertaken by Sichuan Mianzhu Norwest Phosphate Chemical.

Upon the restructuring, Sichuan Mianzhu’s businesses will be split. The downstream businesses – assets operations and activities – will be undertaken by a newly-incorporated wholly-owned foreign enterprise.
