SINGAPORE (Feb 9): Aircraft maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) players such as ST Engineering’s subsidiary ST Aerospace and SIA Engineering Co are expected to see less MRO work ahead.

This comes as carriers are buying newer planes to improve their yields and demand for narrow-body, single-aisle aircraft is booming, thanks in part to a proliferation of low-cost carriers.

These newer planes may not need as much of the aircraft MRO work that ST Aerospace and SIAEC are known for.
