Banyan Tree gets verbal approval from Vietnam PM for Hue resort

SINGAPORE (Jan 8): Banyan Tree’s resort in Hue, Vietnam – Laguna Lang Co – has obtained approval from the Vietnamese Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc to build a casino.

The 280ha Laguna Lang Co opened in March 2013 and is situated near Lang Co bay.

In a meeting on Jan 2 with provincial authorities in Thua Thein-Hue, Phuc said that he “agreed in principle” with the group’s proposal to add a casino to its resort, reported Vietnam Investment Review.
