SINGAPORE (Sept 18): BlackGold Natural Resources on Friday entered into a Heads of Agreement (HOA) with various parties to form a new consortium for the development, construction, operation and maintenance of a 2 x 300MW coal-fired power plant in Riau, Indonesia.

The consortium will comprise BlackGold, China Huadian Engineering (CHEC), PT Samantaka Batubara (PT SB), PT Pembangkitan Jawa-Bali (PJB) and PT PLN Batubara (PLN BB).

PT SB is a subsidiary of BlackGold, while PJB and PLN BB are wholly-owned subsidiaries of PT Perusahaan Listrik Negara (PLN).
