(Nov 27): As Theresa May flies into Northern Ireland to sell her Brexit plan, the Democratic Unionist Party is uniting behind leader Arlene Foster’s opposition to the deal.

May is in Belfast on Tuesday to drum up support for her accord, which the DUP say imperils Northern Ireland’s place in the UK by potentially tying the region to European Union rules indefinitely.

“The DUP is leading the way and the Conservative Party need us -- if they don’t know this by now they are living in cloud cuckoo land,” said Alan Ewart, 68, a member of the party since its inception in 1971 and now its finance director. “ Theresa May will not get the deal through parliament so I believe her days as prime minister are numbered. ”
