Nera Telecommunications has secured contracts worth a combined value of $19.3 million from a state-owned enterprise in Southeast Asia, it said in a filing on Dec 15.

The contracts were established to bring broadband connectivity to rural municipalities.

This includes the implementation and configuration of Optical Line Terminals (OLTs) and the use of Synchronous Digital Hierarchy (SDH) technology and longreach 100G interconnection modules to route seamless and reliable data connectivity to millions of homes.

The contracts are expected to have a significant positive impact on the performance of the company for the current financial year.

Shares in Nera closed flat at 8.6 cents on Dec 15.
