SINGAPORE (Oct 30): Millennium & Copthorne Hotels reported 3Q17 earnings rose 19.6% to £55 million ($98.7 million) from £46 million.
Revenue for the three months ended Sept rose 6.5% to £263 million.
Revenue per available room (RevPAR) rose 4.6% to £89.75 million, the operator of the Millennium, Grand Millennium, Copthorne and Kingsgate hotels says.
Excluding deals, closures and currency movements, RevPAR was up 1.4%.
M&C has received a takeover proposal that values it at £1.8 billion ($3.23 billion) from shareholder City Developments.
Several shareholders have criticised Singapore-based CDL's 552.5 pence per share cash proposal to buy the 34.8% stake it does not own, but M&C's board has said it will back a formal bid at that level.
Shares in M&C are trading at £586.50.
