There has been a flurry of new listings on the Singapore Exchange (SGX) this year. Coincidentally, two of the latest listings this year, Dezign Format Group and Lum Chang Creations, are both in what can be broadly described as the interior fitting industry.

Companies try to emphasise their own niches, but, generally, the demand and outlook of the interior-fitting industry are linked to the intersection of two broader industry sectors: the meetings, incentives, conferences and exhibitions (Mice) industry and the construction industry, which is now in a multi-year upcycle. With official estimates of construction demand ranging from $47 billion to $53 billion this year, there is a positive spillover effect on the interior-fitting industry.
