SINGAPORE (June 6): CITIC Envirotech has secured a transfer-operate-transfer cum build-operate-transfer wastewater treatment project in Tao Yuan town in China’s Suzhou city with a total investment value of RMB 100 million ($20 million).

The project involves the upgrading and modification of an existing plant as well as construction of an additional wastewater treatment plant using MBR technology to meet the higher discharge standard.

CITIC says in a filing to SGX on Tuesday that a newly incorporated subsidiary will be set up to undertake the project, which will commence immediately and is expected to be completed by end-2018.
