SINGAPORE (Mar 7): Datapulse Technology, the manufacturer of digital media storage, says it had filed a writ of summons on Mar 1 against Singapore-based hedge fund Ascapia Capital for defamation.

Datapulse says Ascapia had made "baseless allegations" in an open letter entitled “Minority shareholders demand answers” on Jan 25 to the company’s shareholders and the Singapore Exchange, as well as on a website accessible by the public.

The allegations appears to be calculated to cause pecuniary damage to the company in respect of their reputation, trade, and business, adds Datapulse.
