“We needed a stable, long-term platform with a clear roadmap and the flexibility to grow without being tied to specific hardware. Before the migration, when a physical server went down, it took the entire application with it. Our ERP, production scheduling, ordering systems and even basic file access would be impacted. The operational risk was simply too high, especially for a business that runs seven days a week,” says Adrian Tan, senior manager of IT at RE&S Enterprises.
Since consolidating its workloads, RE&S has cut its physical server footprint by 73%, simplifying system management while improving uptime and performance. The smaller environment also helped it avoid additional cooling costs, easing pressure on operating expenses.
“Our users can retrieve data faster and work without interruption, and the IT team no longer faces the stress of recovering failed servers. Nutanix has given us the confidence that the environment will stay up even during maintenance or hardware issues,” states Tan.
With greater stability in place, RE&S is now turning its attention to how it uses data. It plans to roll out more advanced analytics and, over time, AI-driven tools to improve internal processes and customer experience, though it did not give timelines or investment figures.

For Nutanix, the project highlights growing demand from consumer-facing businesses that are reworking their IT foundations as part of broader digital strategies.
“RE&S Enterprises is a great example of how modern F&B businesses can build the resilience and agility needed for growth and AI use, and Nutanix is proud to support them on that journey. With Nutanix, RE&S Enterprises has built a future-ready foundation that not only strengthens uptime but also accelerates innovation,” says Ho Chye Soon, Nutanix’s Singapore country manager.
