To activate AutoCharge, drivers must request a Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) from Go by City Energy and register it in the app. During their first session, the charger detects the EV’s unique Charge Controller ID (EVCC ID) before prompting the driver to unplug and reconnect the charging cable to complete the pairing.
Go by City Energy, the EV charging arm of City Energy, has equipped more than 200 charging points in Singapore and Malaysia with an “AutoCharge” system designed to simplify electric vehicle (EV) charging.
Drivers only need to register once on the City Energy Go mobile app. Thereafter, they can plug in and charge without logging into the app or scanning QR codes.
