Sixty-four percent of data executives in the Asia Pacific and Japan (APJ) region plan to increase their investment in data management this year.
They will most likely be looking at ways to enhance their data quality and data management capabilities, according to the CDO Insights 2023: How to Empower Data-Led Business Resiliency report by Informatica.
More than half of the surveyed APJ data leaders expect to use five or more tools to support their data management priorities in response to the data fragmentation issue they face. Nearly six in ten (56%) are managing more than 1,000 data sources, and 26% are unable to scale data delivery when and where needed.
“Asia Pacific and Japan data leaders continue to be at the forefront of global data leadership as our new study found that they are placing greater emphasis on adopting new technologies in the new year to drive their data strategy to improve business agility,” said Richard Scott, Informatica’s group vice president for Asia Pacific.
He continues: “In today’s complex multi-cloud environment and ever-evolving market dynamics, customers will desire to invest in data management solutions that support and align to their overall organisational strategy, driving clear business outcomes from their IT investment to enable success in 2023 and beyond."
