Artificial intelligence (AI) has been highlighted as a key driver for Singapore’s economic transformation. As such, the majority (97%) of public agencies surveyed by Pure Storage are already leveraging AI to drive innovation, productivity, and better citizen experiences – for use cases such as virtual assistants, personalised service delivery and AI operations.

Yet, 77% are concerned with AI’s impact on energy consumption. They are therefore exploring solutions such as energy-efficient infrastructure and optimising the use of equipment to mitigate AI’s impact on energy use.

Additionally, Pure Storage’s study reveals that IT infrastructure is a key challenge in AI deployment. Nearly four in five (83%) public agencies said they needed a substantial revamp of their IT infrastructure to support AI deployment.
