Nearly two in five (36%) working professionals in Singapore are actively learning on Coursera, according to the global online learning platform’s latest Global Skills Report.

Tech-related courses continue to dominate demand. Enrolments for artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning courses jumped 71% year-over-year (y-o-y), while cybersecurity saw a 26% rise.

Generative AI, in particular, drew heightened interest. Course enrolments for generative AI saw a 105% y-o-y increase, reflecting strong momentum around emerging AI tools. Despite this surge, gender participation gaps remain. Women account for just 32% of generative AI learners, even though they make up 45% of Coursera’s overall learner base in Singapore.
