SINGAPORE (Nov 7): Asia fintech funding crossed the billion dollar threshold for the first time in 3Q17, climbing to US$1.21 billion ($1.65 billion) raised across 41 deals.

China accounted for over half of Asia fintech investment at US$745 million.

Globally, a total of US$8.2 billion was invested in fintech funding during the quarter, up 30% year-on-year compared to US$6.3 billion raised a year ago.
