SINGAPORE (Apr 12): ComfortDelGro announced that its wholly-owned subsidiary, CDC Victoria, will be acquiring Australia’s Tullamarine Bus Lines (TBL) for A$32.2 million ($32.7 million) to strengthen its presence in Victoria.

TBL operates seven bus routes under contract with Public Transport Victoria, as well as contracted school services and a small taxi management business called Cabways.

CDC Victoria currently operates 81 public bus services across western and eastern suburbs of Melbourne, Ballarat and Geelong. It is the largest bus operator in Melbourne’s west and the fourth largest in the city of Melbourne, with a fleet of almost 500 buses.
