SINGAPORE (Jan 2): GP Industries is moving ahead with the consolidation of its battery manufacturing facilities in Guangdong province, China, through the sale of land and facilities via two subsidiaries.

GP Batteries (China) is selling to an unrelated Mainland developer 17,503.4 sqm of land with 17,785.6 sqm of buildup area in the form of buildings and ancillary facilities in Gu Tang Au Industrial District, Huihuan Town, Huizhou City, for $8.3 million.

In addition, Huizhou Modern Battery is also selling 29,953 sqm of land with 11,400 sqm of buildup area in the same area to the same developer for $16.5 million.
