SINGAPORE (Dec 1): A member of the Keppel group of companies will help build Hong Kong’s first integrated waste management facility in HK$31 billion ($5.3 billion) contract.

The Integrated Waste Management Facility (IWMF) will be built on an reclaimed island off the coast of Shek Kwu Chau, which is to the south of Lantau Island.

The contract was won jointly by Keppel Seghers Hong Kong, a subsidiary of Keppel Seghers, and Zhen Hua Engineering Co., a subsidiary of China Harbour Engineering Company.
