SINGAPORE (July 5): Mapletree Logistics Trust (MLT) is acquiring five logistics properties in Singapore for $778.3 million in a sale-and-leaseback deal.

The vendor is CWT, a Hong Kong-listed subsidiary of HNA, the debt-laden Chinese conglomerate whose founder fell to his death while sightseeing in southern France on Tuesday.

Upon completion of the deal, the properties will be 100% leased back to CWT for five to 10 years.
