A subsidiary of Catalist-listed Internet of Things (IoT) solutions firm iWow Technology has received $1 million in prize funding from DBS Foundation under its inaugural Impact Beyond Award.

The subsidiary, Buddy of Parents (BOP), offers smart home solutions that leverage artificial intelligence and IoT to enhance safety, reduce caregiving burden and promote independent living.

In total, DBS Foundation awarded $3 million in prize funding to four firms developing technologies that “shape the future of ageing in Asia”. The winning firms were chosen from a list of close to 100 submissions from around the world.
