The group’s passenger load factor increased 1.0 percentage point (ppt) y-o-y to reach 87.4%.
In October, SIA and Scoot posted monthly passenger load factors of 87.0% and 88.9%, respectively. Both airlines carried a combined total of 3.1 million passengers during the month, up 36.1% y-o-y.
Its cargo operations posted a load factor of 56.1%, or 3.5 ppts higher y-o-y. Cargo loads rose by 7.0% y-o-y, higher than the capacity expansion of 0.3%, supported by e-commerce flows and freighter charters.
During the month, SIA ceased operations to Vancouver, Canada while Scoot resumed services to Kunming, China as the group continued to calibrate its network in response to passenger demand.
As at the end of October, the group’s passenger network covered 119 destinations in 35 countries and territories. SIA served 74 destinations, while Scoot served 68 destinations. The cargo network comprised 121 destinations in 37 countries and territories.
