SINGAPORE (Dec 10): LifeBrandz is celebrating the opening of its new Japanese sushi restaurant in San Francisco with a five-day event to be held from Dec 10 to 14.
Named Sushi Nagai San Francisco, the all-omakase sushi restaurant is located on 125 Ellis Street, in the heart of the San Francisco’s shopping and dining precinct, within walking distance to Chinatown and Nob Hill.
The restaurant is helmed by Chef Tomonori Nagai, who was one of the main chefs of Shinji by Kanesaka, a one Michelin-starred omakase sushi restaurant in Singapore. He has also over 20 years of experience as a sushi chef in New York, Hawaii and Singapore.
During the five-day event, the new restaurant will collaborate with up and coming chefs, restaurateurs, food makers, retailers, wineries and innovators in the San Francisco Bay Area and the Golden State.
In FY2019 ended Sept, LifeBrandz reported losses widened 6% to $3.07 million from $2.9 million. Revenue rose 88% to $5.6 million from $3 million mainly due to increase in F&B revenue of $2.8 million, partially offset by decrease in travel booking service revenue of $0.2 million.
In its accompanying outlook statement, the group said it remains cautious about the outlook and condition of the overall business environment in the travel and F&B industries.
"The board is mindful of the intense competition of these industries, tight labour supply and increasing costs," it added.
Shares in LifeBrandz closed at 0.4 cent on Tuesday.
