China Everbright Water has entered into a supplementary agreement with the Housing and Urban-Rural Development Bureau of Huaiyin District of Huai’an City, Jiangsu Province for the Huaiyin Eastern District Waste Water Treatment Project Phase II.
The second phase of the project commands an investment of approximately RMB150 million ($30.7 million).
The project will be invested in, constructed and operated based on a build-operate-transfer (BOT) model.

Its concession period will expire concurrently with the Project Phase I in July 2050.
Project Phase II has a designed daily waste water treatment capacity of 50,000 cubic metres and the discharged water will comply with the national Grade 1A standard according to the Discharge Standard of Pollutants for Municipal Wastewater Treatment Plant.

Shares in China Everbright closed 0.5 cents lower or 2.1% down at 23 cents on Jan 25.
