Singapore’s Senoko Energy and Malaysia’s Gentari have signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) to jointly explore the import of hydrogen from Malaysia to Singapore.

According to an Oct 23 announcement, the hydrogen will be supplied by Gentari through a 20-year supply agreement, which is expected to commence by 2029.

Both parties will explore the feasibility of the import plan, along with possibly integrating the hydrogen into Senoko Energy’s existing and new combined cycle gas turbines.
