During Ko’s time at Cityneon, now renamed Neon Global, the company was contracted to provide support for various high-profile events across the region, including the F1 races and also key conventions here, such as CommunicAsia.
Ko Chee Wah, chairman of Kin Productions, which specialises in sports events management, is keen to build a bigger presence in this industry. One way to raise funds to fuel this growth ambition is to explore a listing of the company. “We already have a list of M&A targets, and we are doing due diligence,” says Ko in an interview with The Edge Singapore.
Ko is no stranger to this industry, and to the capital markets. As group managing director of Cityneon Holdings, Ko brought the company public back in 2005, where he raised just over $5 million. Cityneon was privatised in 2019 under different controlling shareholders and management.
