International Cement Group has set up a joint venture company for the construction of a cement plant in Jambyl, Kazakhstan.

The JV company will oversee the construction of a new dry process cement clinker production line with a daily production of 3,500 tonnes of clinker in the Jambyl region.

The region is located in the southern part of Kazakhstan with direct export routes to Kyrgyzstan, which will complement the group’s existing operations in the southeastern region.
