Citi has appointed Lee Lung Nien as Citi country officer and banking head for Singapore, becoming the first Singaporean in half a century to hold Citi’s most senior position here.

Lee most recently served as chairman of Citi Private Bank for South Asia from 2020. A 35-year Citi veteran, he was CEO of Citibank Berhad in Malaysia from 2014 to 2020.

Lee succeeds Tibor Pandi, who had spent eight years in Asia and two-and-a-half years as Singapore country officer.
