Genting Singapore has appointed Lam Yi Young as the deputy CEO of Resorts World Sentosa (RWS).
Lam was selected from a list of shortlisted candidates for the role, says the group.
He will join RWS on Jan 1, 2023 and will assume his appointment once he passes a suitability assessment by the Gambling Regulatory Authority of Singapore.
Lam was most recently the CEO of the Singapore Business Federation (SBF) where he served from 2020 to 2022.
Prior to that, he was the Deputy Secretary (Industry) at the Ministry of Trade and Industry (MTI) and Deputy Secretary (Policy) at the Ministry of Education (MOE). Lam also served as the chief executive at the Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore previously.
In addition, Lam is currently sitting on several boards including SMU Academy, the SBF Foundation, the Accounting and Corporate Regulatory Authority (ACRA) just to name a few.

In the past five years, he has also sat on the boards of the manager of the former CapitaLand Commercial Trust (CCT), EDB Investments (EDBI), Singapore GP, JTC Corporation, Mandai Park Holdings and Sentosa Development Corporation.
Shares in Genting closed 0.5 cent lower or 0.63% down at 78.5 cents on Oct 28.
