Isetan has appointed Shioji Hiramatsu as its new managing director to oversee its business.
Hiramatsu is currently the president of the human solutions department at Isetan Mitsukoshi.
Prior to his current role, Hiramatsu was general manager of the group’s general affairs division from 2019 to 2021.
Hiramatsu replaces former managing director Koji Oyama, who retired on April 28.
Following his retirement, Oyama was appointed as Isetan’s CEO to facilitate the handover of its duties before the appointment of the new managing director.
Shares in Isetan closed flat at $3.50 on May 27.
