The promotion is an internal one, from Mok’s present position as CEO of Food Solutions within the group.

Mok has held the position of CEO of Food Solutions since June 2018.

Prior to this, he was in various leadership positions including being the CEO of YCH Group, acting CEO and COO of Goodpack Limited, as well as senior roles at Accenture and DHL.

Hungate will be assuming his new role as COO at Grab Holdings from Jan 4, 2022.

SATS chairman Euleen Goh says the appointment was based on SATS’ “comprehensive succession planning progress,” where Mok was chosen as the best candidate for the role of president and CEO.

“Kerry is a seasoned executive with more than two decades of experience in supply chain management and logistics. Over the last three years in SATS, Kerry has been leading the food solutions team to develop innovative food solutions to reshape the business for the post Covid opportunities,” says Goh. “I am confident that, together with the board and all at SATS, Kerry will lead the SATS Group forward to realise our vision for the future.”

“I am honoured to be given this opportunity to lead the SATS Group as it reshapes and positions itself for new growth opportunities. I look forward to working closely with our Board, customers, partners and our employees to drive new innovations and solutions, especially in the post Covid world,” says Mok.

Shares in SATS closed 2 cents higher or 0.47% up at $4.28 on Oct 22.
