Eric Teng, who is currently the CEO of Straits Development, has been appointed Straits Trading’s new group chief operating officer (COO). Straits Development is a subsidiary of Straits Trading.
Teng’s appointment was effective July 1.
Before his role as CEO of Straits Development, Teng was the executive director and CEO of real estate developer Heeton Holdings 5DP from 2016 to 2019.
He was adviser to the Straits Trading Company from 2014 to 2015. Before that, Teng was the CEO of Straits Trading’s property and hospitality arm from 2010 to 2013.
Shares in Straits Trading closed 1 cent lower or 0.51% down at $1.96 on Oct 13.
