A tugboat owned by an associate of ASL Marine in Indonesia was involved in a fatal incident.

According to the company on March 7, the tugboat capsized under "adverse" weather conditions, causing 5 dead and one injured.

Probes are ongoing. ASL Marine did not name if other parties were involved.

"We are deeply saddened by this tragic incident and extend our heartfelt condolences to the families of those affected.

"The group is coordinating closely with the vessel’s operator to render all necessary assistance to the affected victims and their families during this difficult time.

Last October, a fire broke out on board a tanker undergoing repair at the company's yard in Batam, causing 13 fatalities and another 18 injured.
