Instead of flitting from club to club, most people prefer sticking to one venue.
Singapore’s nightlife is going through a period of change. Once a go-to spot for clubbers to pre-game or pre-drink, CQ @ Clarke Quay, a place that was once synonymous with Singapore’s high-octane clubbing scene, is now looking to reposition itself for a different crowd.
Even though the area used to be packed with club hoppers on weekends, CapitaLand Investment (CLI) is now focusing on a few anchor clubs due to shifting consumer preferences, says Ervin Yeo, chief strategy officer and CEO of commercial management at CLI. Zouk, one of Singapore’s longest-running and oldest clubs, is one of CQ @ Clarke Quay’s key tenants.
