SLA says the site will be transformed into a “lively destination that will leverage its vast open spaces and heritage architecture creatively to introduce thematic zones to cater to different age groups”.
The Singapore Land Authority (SLA) has awarded Singapore-based developer Country City Investment the tender for the redevelopment and adaptive reuse of 2 Moulmein Road, a 91,000 sqm estate of 44 heritage buildings.
First established in 1913 as Middleton Hospital, the site supported Singapore’s healthcare needs for over a century, later operating as the Communicable Diseases Centre until its decommissioning in 2018.
