Catalist-listed Mercurius Capital Investment saw its share price jump up to a peak of 5.7 cents at 9.30am, 42.5% higher than last close of 4 cents on March 18, triggering a query from Singapore Exchange Regulation (SGX RegCo).
Mercurius's 6-month volume-weighted average price is 2.5 cents. The spike in price also exceeds Mercurius' 52-week high of 4.8 cents.
In a filing to SGX at 9.39am, SGX RegCo submitted a query regarding Mercurius' trading activity, asking the company to clarify any information that may explain the unusual share price and volume movements. It also asked the company to confirm its compliance with Mainboard rule 703.
As at 10.01am, Mercurius' share price is up 1.2 cents or 30% higher at 5.2 cents.
