In the face of “large and powerful” external forces, Singaporeans have to brace for a “bumpier ride” amid the economic uncertainties that have ensued, says Prime Minister Lawrence Wong at the jointly-held Institute of Policy Studies (IPS) and Singapore Business Federation (SBF) conference on July 29.

Titled ‘SG60 and Beyond’, the conference saw Wong speaking on a panel moderated by IPS director Janedas Devan.

“We [Singapore] have long been told that as a small country, we are a price-taker. Are we helpless?” questions Devan.
