Australian telcos Telstra and TPG have said that they will not appeal the Australian Competition Tribunal’s decision to block their network-sharing deal.

On June 21, the Australian Competition Tribunal decided not to grant authorisation for the proposed regional spectrum authorisation arrangements between Telstra and TPG Telecom Limited. The proposed arrangements would have formed part of the proposed Multi-Operator Core Network (MOCN) agreement.

The move should come as good news to Singapore Telecommunications Z74

(Singtel) subsidiary Optus who cheered the rejection back in June.
