ComfortDelGro (CDG) has launched a two-year robotaxi programme with autonomous vehicle (AV) technology company Pony.ai on March 17.

The pilot programme, which comes after the memorandum of understanding (MOU) signed between both parties in August 2024, will allow CDG to develop and refine capabilities for AV technology operations and fleet management.

According to CDG, the programme is part of the group’s broader strategy to explore autonomous transport solutions. Following this programme, the group also intends to work towards future large-scale deployment in China and other international markets.
