(May 30): President Donald Trump “remains in excellent health”, according to the White House doctor, after undergoing a physical earlier this week which included a cognitive test.

A memorandum by the physician, Captain Sean Barbabella, concluded that Trump, who turns 80 next month, “is fully fit to carry out all duties of the commander in chief and head of state”. He underwent a battery of tests and examinations at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center in Maryland.

The president scored a 30 out of 30 on the Montreal Cognitive Assessment, “within normal limits”, Barbabella wrote in the memo that was released by the White House late Friday night.
