Bulgari welcomes spring/summer 2018 with its Serpenti range of leather goods and accessories
Bulgari’s scarves, handbags and sunglasses from its spring/ summer 2018 collection are a fashionista’s dream. The famed Serpenti Forever bags has been given an edgier look — the Serpenti Pop Heart has snake motifs in various designs, the Serpenti Neon features a riot of colours, and Divas’ Dream goes punk with studs on three layers of leather that are stitched together for a quilted effect. To complete your ensemble, check out the handcrafted scarves that feature motifs such as hearts and arrows, and snakeheads done in tattoo-style art.

Sunglasses are bold with unusual bejewelled frames and psychedelic lenses. The lasered hexagons on the frames hint at the snakeskin pattern. Notable are the Serpenti Poison Candy sunglasses, which have semi-rimless teardrop lenses and are embellished with a hexagonal scales design.

Candle power

Fashion designer Anya Hindmarch has come up with candles in three scents: Sun Lotion, Coffee and Baby Powder. Each fragrance is produced from the finest raw materials and traditional techniques and the candles are handpoured in England. Prices range from $90 for 175g to $290 for 700g.

In a class of its own

German technical excellence is seen in the Senator Excellence Perpetual Calendar timepiece by Glashütte. The watch boasts an automatic movement; second and second stop functions; a Perpetual Calendar with date, day of the week, month and leap year displays; and a moon phase indicator. Note, too, the three-quarter plate/balance cock/rotor with Glashütte stripe finish, bevelled edges, skeletonised rotor with 21-carat gold oscillation weight, adjustment of rate by adjustment screws and fine adjustment rate symmetry using a swan-neck spring.

Everything’s coming up roses

The R ose Otto Multi-Intensive Face Oil Serum by Canvas works by restoring the skin’s natural balance. It is suitable for mature, dry skin as it smoothens fine lines and wrinkles. In addition, the bergamot and patchouli essential oils kill bacteria and control the skin’s oil production. Available from www.lazada.sg/canvasbeauty.

Amazing lace
Local lingerie label Perk by Kate has launched its latest collection, which uses lace from Japan. Each item, made from lace and polka dot tulle, is designed for comfort, style and versatility.

Modern muse
In an unprecedented move, Misty Copeland has been named the spokesmodel for Estée Lauder’s Modern Muse fragrance. The selection of the dancer, wearing a pink ballerina gown and pointe shoes in a publicity poster, has been lauded by many as a positive step in featuring strong, diverse role models for women.
