SINGAPORE (Sept 17): Dev Patel was spotted with an IWC Pilot’s Watch Automatic 36 (Ref IW324008) at the 2018 Toronto International Film Festival at Princess of Wales Theatre in Toronto, Canada. He was at the red-carpet event to attend the much-awaited premiere of Hotel Mumbai, in which he stars. The movie is based on the attacks on the Taj Mahal Palace Hotel in Mumbai, India in 2008. The IWC Pilot’s Watch Automatic 36 is an elegant timepiece that is suitable for all occasions. At 36mm, it is the smallest watch in the manufacture’s collection, hence it can be worn by both men and women. Outstanding features include a discreetly recessed inner circle on the dial, which gives it a three-dimensional appearance. The one on Patel’s wrist has a blue-plated dial and white printed numerals with a blue Santoni alligator leather strap. The timepiece gets its power from the mechanical 35111 calibre and has a power reserve of 42 hours.

Special edition
TAG Heuer marks its third season as the official timekeeper of Manchester United with a new model sporting the club colours: the TAG Heuer Carrera Heuer 01. The timepiece has a large, yet streamlined diameter of 43mm and features a modern, contemporary design. The striking red of Manchester United takes centre stage. It is featured on the club’s logo positioned at nine o’clock, the flange with 60-second scale and the TAG Heuer shield on the bezel at 12 o’clock. The hour, minute and chronograph central seconds hands as well as the rubber strap are also in the club’s signature colour for a fiery finish. The sapphire caseback highlights the famous Manchester United red devil decal logo, while the anthracite skeleton dial allows the mechanism of the Heuer-01 Manufacture Chronograph to be admired.

Grand collection
Italian grandeur is the inspiration for Dolce & Gabbana’s men’s collection this season. It features patchwork coats, ornate embroidery work on silks, brocades and accessories.

Web of creativity
The Montblanc Heritage Collection Rouge & Noir reimagines one of the first product lines created by the founders of Montblanc in 1909: the Rouge et Noir, inspired by Stendhal’s novel of the same name. While the first edition of the collection featured the serpent, the latest iteration introduces the spider. An ancient metaphor for the creative act of writing, the spider symbolises the author who artfully weaves words into a web of poetry — a recurring Montblanc design motif since the 1920s. The Montblanc Heritage Rouge & Noir Spider Metamorphosis Special Edition fountain pen’s cap is crafted from lacquer, with a barrel made of highly polished precious resin, while a traditional offwhite snowcap embedded in coral red precious resin crowns the writing instrument. The patina-finished fittings give the edition a vintage look as the spider weaves its web around the top of the writing instrument from which descends the pen’s elegant clip.

The Conquest VHP (Very High Precision) GMT Flash Setting by Longines is the perfect companion for the frequent traveller. It allows you to change time zones in two ways — manually, or by using the smart Flash Setting system and a smartphone via a dedicated application. The latter works by transmitting information within it via light sequences that are emitted by the smartphone’s flash into a tiny opening on the watch dial where the number 12 is located. Meanwhile, the Swap function allows the user to interchange the time in the home country and the visiting country. light sequences that are emitted smartphone’s flash into a tiny op on the watch dial where the nu 12 is located.
