IWC Schaffhausen and Bradley Cooper kick off a worldwide omnichannel advertising campaign

SINGAPORE (Mar 26): Hollywood A-lister Bradley Cooper is a heartthrob with a kind soul. He set up the Bradley Charles Cooper Foundation, with a pilot programme, the Charles J Cooper Patient Support Fund, to bring care coordination, financial assistance and support to patients diagnosed with cancer. Recognising Cooper’s admirable qualities, IWC chose him to kick off a worldwide advertising campaign. The campaign visuals feature Cooper on a bike in front of a vintage plane in the Mojave Desert near Los Angeles. The image, shot by Marco Grob, ties in perfectly with IWC’s timepieces, which appeal to those who live without boundaries and limits and will never say “no” to a challenge. On Cooper’s wrist is the IWC Big Pilot’s Watch Edition “Le Petit Prince” (Ref IW501002). The watch has a case diameter of 46mm and features a characteristic blue dial, which has become the trademark of IWC’s special editions in tribute to Antoine de Saint-Exupéry’s most famous literary work. The watch is powered by the IWCmanufactured 52110-calibre movement, fea turing an efficient Pellaton automatic winding system with ceramic parts.

Born in one of the most dynamic periods in the history of Girard-Perregaux, the 1966 collection pays tribute to the technical innovations of the manufacture in precision timekeeping. For the first time, the maison has chosen to feature the elegant smoky grey dial in 40mm and 36mm steel models — the former adorned with a sunburst finish and the latter with a “flinqué” pattern. The timepieces are equipped with the selfwinding Manufacture GP03300 calibre, providing a 46-hour power reserve. The mainplate and bridges are meticulously straight-grained, bevelled and adorned with a Côtes de Genève motif. It features an ultra-thin case, domed and polished leaf-type hands and applied baton-type hour markers or Roman numerals.
