SINGAPORE (Aug 16): Singapore has become more liveable than Hong Kong according to the latest findings of The Economist Intelligence Unit's Global Liveability Ranking.

This time around, Singapore jumped 11 spots in the annual list, ranking 35th on the back of improving educational attainment indicators which have seen Singapore top the global OECD PISA survey.

This is a the highest Singapore has ever placed in the global ranking and the first time Singapore is ranked above Hong Kong, which fell two places to 45th.
