Carbon tax of $5 per tonne of greenhouse gas emissions to be launched from 2019

SINGAPORE (Feb 19): From 2019, Singapore will introduce a carbon tax of $5 per tonne of greenhouse gas emissions which will be levied on major emitters, said Finance Minister Heng Swee Keat in his Budget 2018 statement.
