SINGAPORE (Mar 28): TalkMed says its CEO, Dr Ang Peng Tiam, has resumed his medical duties at the company this week, effective March 25, following an eight-month suspension which began in Jul 2017.

To recap, Ang’s suspension was handed on the grounds of professional misconduct for a complaint submitted in 2010, and concluded a years-long investigation of the complaint by the Singapore Medical Council (SMC).

The group attributed its drop in 4Q17 earnings largely to the material impact from Ang’s suspension, which it expects to continue into 1Q18.
