The Australian cricketer David Boon is not a household name among investors. Beer drinkers may remember him more fondly.

He is famous for downing 55 beers during a flight from Sydney to London in 1989. Airline staff were more liberal with their drinks in those days.

The Boeing 747 may have needed to refuel just for him. His teammates were cheering him on as he knocked them back. Boon carried on and on. He was coherent when the flight landed, but not ready to open the batting.
