Amid much hand-wringing, the IPO scene is seemingly picking up, finally, with exchange officials projecting nearly 30 in total this year, which means 25 more to go.
One point is a random occurrence, two points are a straight line, but when there are three points or more, that is a trend. At this point, that is when impressions will be left deep, and change can only come about with much difficulty, if at all.
For years, Singapore has not been known as the most cheerful exchange for IPOs. The common theme was that delistings outnumbered new listings. Even when companies do list, the amount raised could barely buy a landed property.
